Sam Donovan, trained as an actor at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) in London. He has appeared in numerous West End and UK tours, including “Room On The Broom”, “The Gruffalo”, “Salome”, “Erics” and “Walking on Water,” the latter earning him the Dorothy L Sayers acting award. His directorial portfolio includes “Our Boys” and “David Copperfield” which played for a season at County Hall in London. As a co-director of the Olivier Award-winning theatre company, Papatango, Sam plays a vital role in nurturing new playwright talents whose works have garnered international acclaim and numerous awards.
In partnership with Nick Rogers, Sam co-founded Performers Theatre School in 2001, MAD in 2008, and The Hope Street Theatre in 2018. With over twenty years of experience, Sam seamlessly integrates his passion for teaching with his professional acting career, demonstrating a commitment to the arts and education.
